December 11 β 12, 2014: After leaving Kentucky we drove, and drove, and drove. Kentucky to West Virginia to Maryland to Virginia (for about a mile) and back into West Virginia. Our night in West Virginia was sad because it could no longer be avoided that it was likely our last dinner and sleep in
December 9 β 11, 2014: On our way to Louisville, we stopped in Bardstown. We visited Willett Distillery, a small craft bourbon operation that is family-owned and operated, for a distillery tour. The tour guide was really great and the tour also offered a tasting at the end.
December 8 β 9, 2014: Our first stop in Kentucky was at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. This stop was in honor of my dad who has a 1969 Corvette.
December 7 β 8, 2014: The typical attractions in Nashville are the Grand Ole Opry and Andrew Jacksonβs Hermitage – the oldest preserved presidential home. However, we werenβt very interested in either and headed to downtown Nashville for food and drinks.Β
