November 6 – 7, 2014: We had heard some really great first-hand comments about LEGOLAND but the standard cost of admission is $83 per person – there was no way we were paying that! So, after much debate, research and coupon-ing (for 40% off tickets), we finally decided to check it out for ourselves.
The verdict? Whilst LEGOLAND was something different and unique, it was not worth the price of admission. Perhaps if we were with children we would have enjoyed the rides but, for us, the enjoyment was looking at the mini-models of various cities and exploring the StarWars exhibit. Check out the pictures and save yourself some money.
We then headed to Pizza Port in downtown Carlsbad for some pizza and beers before retiring to the amazing campground on the South Carlsbad State Beach for another night.
