We met Camper Dan on August 22, 2014 and departed on our epic road trip on September 15, 2014. Some road trip statistics and highlights include:

October 11 – 13, 2014: I really was disappointed that we didn’t get out to Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands, however, the weather conditions combined with the unexpected amount of time already spent in Canada pushed us back into the United States.
October 9 – 11, 2014: I’ve heard from more than one person that Vancouver is their favorite city. I get it, there’s green space and waterfront, along with public transportation and jobs. I guess I’m just not a city girl. It’s taken me a long time to admit this but I think it’s true. I probably
October 7 – 9, 2014: About ½ hour outside Oliver, we stopped to take a look at a natural occurring phenomenon called The Spotted Lake.
October 2 – 7, 2014: We departed Jasper and, after spending a night in Blue River, British Columbia (which was a pretty creepy town), arrived in Oliver, British Columbia. Oliver is south of Kelowna and the entire area is known as Canadian wine country. Amazingly, we arrived just in time for the annual wine festival.

September 30 – October 2, 2014: After completing the Glacier Skywalk at Athabasca Glacier, we continued north on the Icefields Parkway towards Jasper with stops along the way at various viewpoints – Tangle Falls, Sunwapta Falls (Sunwapta is another glacier in the area), Mount Kerkeslin and Athabasca Falls.
