We spent two nights camping at Worthington State Forest in Columbia, New Jersey – just a few miles from the Pennsylvania border and the adjacent Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Worthington State Forest was the best public campground we’ve stayed at in New Jersey.

Despite being a New Jersey resident, Camper Dan first camped in New Jersey just last year – at High Point State Park and on a Hipcamp assignment in Califon – in northern NJ. This past weekend we turned south to the Pine Barrens region of New Jersey.
Camper Dan had never camped in a state park in his home state of New Jersey until recently.
We spent a night at Sunshine Daydreams Sanctuary in Califon, New Jersey on a Hipcamp Field Scout assignment.
