Louisiana Bayou
April 26 – 28, 2016: We couldn’t possibly visit Louisiana without getting out on a boat in the bayou. To that end, we booked a swamp tour with the real deal – Cajun Man out of Gibson, Louisiana down in Cajun country.

April 22 – 26, 2016: Michael flew back from New Jersey – he had a great time at the Underworld show in NYC whilst I enjoyed relaxing in the sun on Grand Isle, Louisiana – and we met up in New Orleans at our campground.

April 13, 2016: The Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum House is an Usonian home in Florence, Alabama. We stopped to tour the home while traveling on the Natchez Trace Parkway. The home was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1940.
April 12 – 16, 2016: Departing Nashville, Tennessee we headed towards the Natchez Trace Parkway northern terminus with a lunch stop at the Loveless Cafe – a mainstay on Nashville Top 10 dining lists.

Chattanooga, Tennessee is another city I’ve been hearing a lot about and I had it, alongside Asheville, on my ‘possible places to live in the future’ list. April 7 – 9, 2016: When we departed Asheville we headed towards the southern entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park (also a World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve) despite a weather forecast that potentially included snow.
April 3 – 7, 2016: I had really been looking forward to visiting Asheville, North Carolina because I have it on my list of potential future places to live. It did not disappoint. It was just the right mix of outdoorsy, hippie, artsy, and foodie for my taste.
