It’s official. The dream is coming to fruition – we will be taking a year off to travel! We’ve been discussing and deliberating this for what seems like forever. And now it is officially going to happen.
Michael and I just booked a GAdventures tour to kick off the epic 2014 adventures. This is only appropriate since our first travel experience together was our amazing GAdventures trip to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam in 2010. This tour will be taking us to a new continent – it is titled Dunes, Deltas and Falls and commences February 23, 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa and ends March 15, 2014 in Livingstone, Zambia.
It’s a bit ironic that we’ve made this booking over the United States Labor Day holiday because now we need to sort out how we’re going to leave our employment. Oh, and maybe do just a little bit of planning for those few months. Right now we’re pretty sure we’ll move on from Zambia to South East Asia – probably Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos.
