Corvettes and Caves in Kentucky
December 8 – 9, 2014: Our first stop in Kentucky was at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. This stop was in honor of my dad who has a 1969 Corvette.

November 25 – 26, 2014: From Moab, we made our way into Arches National Park after dark and found a campsite in Devils Garden Campground which is at the end of the scenic drive through the park.
November 25, 2014: We left Bryce Canyon National Park and headed towards Arches National Park via Utah Scenic Byway 12. Much of the route was through the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument area which was filled with more beautiful, colorful landscapes, and interesting rock formations.
November 23 – 25, 2014: We arrived at Bryce Canyon National Park after the entrance station had closed and quickly found a campsite. It was super freezing (18 degrees Fahrenheit) but we made the most of it with a campfire and a cold weather feast of mac ‘n cheese with hot dogs and s’mores before
November 22 – 23, 2014: The drive from the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument visitor center to Zion National Park was filed with breathtaking canyon landscapes. The drive from the entrance of the park to the campground, through the tunnel, was also wonderful and we even saw a mountain goat on the canyon cliffs. To
November 22, 2014: After departing Antelope Canyon we hiked 1.5 miles round-trip to view Horseshoe Bend with the Colorado River twisting and turning through the canyons (within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area). Breathtaking views!
November 21 – 22, 2014: We started our visit to Grand Canyon National Park at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center on the south rim. Our first view of the canyon was from the Mather Point viewpoint (the most accessible and therefore most touristy). The immense size of the canyon made it more difficult for me
November 17 – 19, 2014: Leaving Red Rock Canyon State Park we drove through great expanses of desert and nothingness and entered Death Valley National Park from the west. I don’t think either of us was quite sure what to expect but we were both completely mesmerized by the landscape.
November 11 – 13, 2014: Joshua Tree National Park was definitely in the top three list for places I was looking forward to visiting on this road trip. I had really high expectations and am very happy to report that it totally lived up to the hype!
