We’ve Landed in Cape Town

February 19 – 20, 2014: Our flight on South African Airways from JFK, New York to Johannesburg, South Africa was long but uneventful. 

This was followed by a quick flight, also on South African Airways, from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

The only incident was when this
(our new corkscrew / bottle opener) was confiscated in Johannesburg. Damn it! I even purchased one that was supposed to meet TSA scrutiny and hoped that if we got it out of the United States then we’d be OK the rest of the flights.

We made it to House on the Hill, the accommodation I booked, ready for a nap. When we woke, we headed out for a dinner nearby and then headed back to go to bed for the night. We were excited to start exploring the next morning!
